 Hierarchy of units influences graphs on Dashboards and statistics in reports. Therefore, it is important to build Organizational structure of the granularity that you need to reflect your organization in reality, but with correct position of Units within the hierarchy to get exact results in Dashboards and reports.

 

  1. On the Home page go to 
  1. Using the search bar or simply by going through the structure find the Unit that will be a Parent Unit for the one that you’re willing to create
  1.  Click on  near the name of Parent unit
  1. Choose Type of unit, type name and Identifier, if necessary, in the window that pops up and click 

  1.  A new Unit is now created under the Parent unit that we’ve selected and we can now input Unit details, Owners, Members, Hours worked for it and choose types of Reports that can or cannot be associated with this new Unit.

  1. To change it’s position in the hierarchy if needed, in  select a relevant Parent unit
  2. As soon as you’ve selected a new Parent unit, in the hierarchy Unit will be immediately moved to position under new Parent unit

 

 Parent unit could be site, department, facility, or other type of structural division within your organization to which belong so-called Child units. That means worked hours, events, inspections of Child units will be added and reflected in statistics for the Parent unit.
