Selecting (adding) control measures
Similar questions: Where to select control measures during risk analysis? Where to
indicate if control measure has been already implemented?
Control measures that can be selected have to be initially
created by users having relevant rights in General Settings. Control measures
are created within efficiency categories that represent the list of Hierarchy
of Controls adopted by most of industries and approved by controlling
authorities (including CDC and National Institute for Occupational Safety and
Health)
- Go to module from
the home page or using the metro button menu. This opens the list of
existing risks. Select Mitigation – Control measures in the left
side menu
- Pressing on plus button opens the window
to select the Control measure out of those existing under categories
Elimination, Substitution, Engineering Control, Administrative Control and
Personal Protective equipment.
- This list will by default show all the measures that exist under all categories. It's possible to search for the needed one using the search bar as well as this list can be reduced to measures within a certain category:
- After selecting a necessary category and measure there's a possibility to type some precision in the designated field to the right side of the window. The check box is active by default, but can be unselected if that's not the case:
- Click on or on before if you need to all multiple
measures to avoid having to open window each time.
- Option to indicate if measure has been
already implemented is reflected in the list of
control measures as well, as this is information to consider when selecting Risk
factors for Residual risk level calculation.
- If assisted calculation is activated in the tenant - then the measure that is being taken into account by the formula of Residual Risk calculation (the one having highest attenuation effect) will be marked by the sign in the list.
- If the measure has been implemented later, it is necessary to go back to the Control measures tab and tick the box to indicate that it's been done so that the residual risk calculation would be up to date (as it does not calculate values of measures that have been planned, but not implemented)
