How to create or edit a new location or a machine?

Creating or editing entities in the Machines module is possible for
users having relevant rights for their Role in CONFORMiT tenant. Those not
having rights to create or edit machine units will not see these buttons.
Please refer to your company’s CONFORMiT administrator if you need to obtain such
rights.
- Go to
module. This will open the structure of machine units – organizational tree of locations and machines that exists as of the moment.
- There are 2 types of entities in this list – Locations and Machines. Sub-units may be created both under locations and under machines.
- Select entity that is a “parent” unit for the one you wish to create, within whose boundaries or structure a new location or a machine exists. Then click on a
on this entity’s bar.
- This opens a window, where it’s necessary to
indicate the identifier of a new unit and a name (optional), as well as select
the type of a unit – Location or Machine.
- Click on

if you plan to create multiple machines or locations under this same “parent” entity. In the machine unit details field it’s possible to edit the unit’s information – identifier, name and Unit type.
